About the Owner

Lazy M Farms is owned and operated by Emily Bevins. Horses have been my biggest passion from childhood. Since my parents bought me my first horse 18 years ago, I have owned just about every kind of horse and mule you can think of. While I love all horses, gaited horses quickly became my favorite. I showed trail racking and country pleasure horses religiously in high school and throughout my undergraduate college years. Once in pharmacy school, I worked on a thoroughbred farm, breaking colts for the race track, giving riding lessons and taking people on  guided trail rides.

Once I returned home, I bought a black and white colt called Bo's Rebel Pride, aka "Stricker".  This colt just kept getting faster and faster and from them on I have been hooked on the single-footing horse. There is something very impressive about a horse that can ride in a smooth gait down slow and then explode into the same square gait to speeds well above 20 mph. It is addictive and extremely exciting.

My goal is produce horses that have the handle, smooth gait and confidence to give their new owners an enjoyable, safe and exciting ride for years to come.
